I worked with Ron over the last five years on rezoning cases in the Fredericksburg area.

When I met with Ron, I made sure I had some extra time on hand to swap stories and discuss more things than just business. He enjoyed relationships and always asked about me, my family and others.

Early on in our business dealings it was nearly impossible to get him on the phone, so I started emailing Brenda. Before long, he was cursing me for getting him hooked on email. After that, he was always on Brenda's email and very easy to get hold of. Email had one major downfall--you couldn't hear that wonderful, contagious laugh. What a great laugh. I find myself smiling right now thinking about that laugh. Ron, we miss you and thank you for some great times and wonderful memories.

Christy, We are deeply saddened by Ron's sudden passing. He did a lot in his years on this earth. I am sure he is doing a lot in Heaven. We love you and God Bless.

Christie,

I have reflected often on Ron this past week. Though he worked at hyper speed, he always had time for a greeting and, more often than not, a story or two. I will miss his laugh and enthusiasm for life. His days were fewer than any of us would have liked, but it is my impression that he packed a lot of living into the time he had. His was a life lived well and he will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the family and friends of Ron. My first contact with him was some 28 years ago and he was always a pleasure to talk to. He was a fine person and will be sorely missed. Gone too soon.

As a young professional who has worked with Ron for only three years, his interactions and knowledge have been very important to me. He showed confidence in my work and always helped me when he I needed it. I'll forever miss his laughter, puns, and overall friendly demeanor.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and this loss to our community. Ron was such a public figure and touched many lives that he met through his involvement with Zoning and Land Use throughout the county. He represented several issues before the Spotsylvania County Board of Zoning Appeals and that is where I first met him. He will be missed for his exceptional knowledge of this county and the many land use and zoning issues. My thoughts are with you and your family.
