Dorothy Jane Lucy Rash

RASH, Mrs. Dorothy Jane Lucy, of La Crosse, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at her residence. She was a retired Dinwiddie County and Mecklenburg County school teacher, having taught in the former South Hill High School and La Crosse Elementary School. She is survived by her husband, L. Ryland Rash Jr.; her daughter, Laura Jane Rash of La Crosse; her son, Lewis R. Rash III and his wife, Nina Elizabeth Rash, of South Hill; four sisters, Edith Mae Plummer of State College, Pa., Kathleen L. Tanner of South Hill, Christine L. Tanner of La Crosse and Nancy L. Williams of Emporia; three brothers, John Cleveland Lucy Jr. of Dolphin, Emory H. Lucy of Lawrenceville and Charles P. Lucy, also of Dolphin; and two grandchildren, Kalyn E. Rash and John Alan Rash. A graveside funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in La Crosse Cemetery. The family welcomes all to visit in the home at 119 West Pine St., La Crosse, at any time.
