CYNDA RASH Obituary

CYNDA RASH An amazing... glorious "Graduation" occurred when Cynda Lee Rash, aka "Miss Cynda" by her support staff... flexed her earthly wings and entered Heaven's beautiful Gate! A Committal Service will be conducted by Chaplains Susan Miller and Tim Allison at 2 PM in Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Upon arrival at the funeral home, please park your vehicle behind the funeral coach (hearse) on the south side of the building. Once all guests have arrived, there will be a procession into Mount Moriah Cemetery for the Committal Service. Oxygen deprivation contributed to her Cerebral Palsy diagnosis, and it wasn't till age 3, when on Easter Sunday morning she arose and began walking unassisted for the first time! Although Cynda was non-verbal, her ability to effectively express herself and convey her wishes was a blessing. Coupled with her cute grin was a beautiful smile and tremendously infectious laugh! Cynda's mom and dad, Marje and Raymond, provided her loving home for 39 years, until a maternal health challenge brought about a miraculous Group Home placement at Immacolata Manor - Liberty, MO. Following her 17.5-year residency, Cynda was with her mother and brother for 14 months until the Austen-Dooley Co. ventured north, and the next 12 years were spent in their first Group Home near Liberty. Subsequently, Aug 2019 > 14Oct 2025... enhanced care has been provided by her Individualized Supported Living (ISL) plus The Interim Hospice Co., these last few months. Words alone are insufficient to adequately THANK Cynda's Residential Provider Agency and Care Team... Selene and Terry Oehrke, along with Staff Supervisor, Tesla, and Direct Care Specialist Torez, plus the entire ISL Cadre! They ensured the finest and safest care possible. Her 'A' Team was wonderfully complemented by RN, Ashley Walker of the 'H' Team, and her CNA colleague, Randi, with 2 visits each week. Additionally, Koris - LMSW, Chaplain Susan Miller, and the entire INTERIM Group mightily supported this 'H' Team quest and were a much-appreciated blessing to everyone. Also, to Dr Sheila Owens - MD, Cynda's PCP at The Liberty Clinic, and to Dr. Chad Sharky, DO, and the INTERIM Headquarters 'H' Team... a well-earned, 5 Star review is graciously conveyed! Also... very Special "Thanks!" to all the DayHab Program Leaders and Staffs, beginning in Sedalia, her Sheltered Workshop mentors, and numerous Doctors, Nurses, and Support personnel at Liberty and NKC Hospitals, plus KU Med's Alternative (Nutritional Supplement Health Department). Additionally, thanks to Mom's liaison with her Dentist, Dr. William Tinsley, of The SEAPORT Practice in Liberty, he annually examined and cleaned Cynda's permanent implants while she was sedated. For 30 years, Dr. 'T' provided his nurse to assist and donated all services. His Pro Bono, Heart of Gold, was a tremendous benefit and value. If a 10-STAR Review was possible, Dr Tinsley would have more than earned it! Let's ALL rest assured with 100% confidence... "Miss Cynda's" new home is fantastic! She and her parents are walking on Heaven's streets of gold! And, if doable... this unique lady would seek to convey for ALL to know, "Be still, and know your Heavenly Father"... as described in John 3:3 > 3:8. Cynda is survived by her brother, Tom, who considered his Guardianship responsibility an Honor to fulfill! In 1955, Cynda's parents were co-founders of today's CHS, along with Business and Civic Leaders. Please visit chs-mo.org and discover the 50 Missouri Counties with over 10,000 "Special and Unique" individuals being supported! Mom and Dad would be amazed and so thankful for the growth experienced since the launch, 70 years ago, on the lower level of Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia! The privately supported component (need) of CHS is significant, and thus, ALL support is very much appreciated. Thank You... "and then some!" Special Blessings to everyone touched by Cynda's wonderful life of innocence, joy, and love! In lieu of flowers... honor her with a memorial to The Center for Human Services (CHS), home office in Sedalia, MO, at 1500 Ewing Road, 65301-2396.
