STONE, Douglas Lee, 56, of Midlothian, died September 8, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Stone; brother, David Lee Stone and his wife, Patti; nephew, Jason Lee Stone; and Lauren Lee Stone. Doug was the co-owner and vice president of Stone's Furniture House. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday (today), and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West End Assembly of God.

As a teenager living across the street from Doug and Patty, Doug routinely invited me over to play the drums, check out their sports cars, and listen to music. Doug made a massive impression on my life and appreciation for music. I will always remember driving that Z in 1989; he was such a great guy.
