James Barrett Obituary

BARRETT, James Dean, 51, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 11, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, James Franklin Barrett. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Smith Barrett; mother, Linda L. Barrett; a host of relatives and lifetime friends throughout the country. James was a generous, kind and loving husband and person who will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday (today) at Morrissette Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family suggests that contributions be made to The American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

Lisa, I tried to go to the funeral today, but I went to the wrong place. I was hoping to let you know that your Ukrop's Kitchen family is here for you during this time of grief. Let the Lord comfort you, and don't be afraid to lean on us as well. My family is also praying for you.

Oh, Lisa and Linda. I just found out. I am so sorry. I don't even know what to say. Please know that I am praying for you right now and that I have prayed for you every day all of these years. I am out of town this week-end. I am so sorry that I can't be there. I pray that God gives you the peace that passes all of our understanding.
