On November 25, 2025, at 8:45AM, Joanne T. Barrett answered the call to the next life.
In this life, she spent much of her adulthood working at Neimayer Pharmacy in Scio, Ohio. It was there that she found herself at the center of the community, knowing people on both their best and worst days. Though earning the right to be the first Certified Pharmacy Technician in Harrison County, Ohio in 1994 (a fact she would remind you of, proudly) didn't factor into being there to spread happiness and hope -- it probably didn't hurt.
Joanne was also a devoted wife and mother. Of which she would also remind you of, proudly.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a husband: John "Phil" Barrett. A son John "Tony" Barrett as well as a daughter in law Dr. (yet another fact she would remind you of, proudly) Victoria Dickman-Burnett.
Joanne and Phil renewed their vows this year, having celebrated fifty years of marriage.
May you only hope to have a life so blessed, as well as the ability to spread those blessings onto others.
No funeral or service will be held. A celebration of life may be organized at a later point.
