Wm. "Skip Durr

DURR, Wm. "Skip," 64, of Glen Allen, passed away peacefully at home with his wife, daughter and grandson by his side. Formerly of Martins Ferry, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ralph and Naomi Durr. He worked in radio broadcasting for over 30 years and ended his radio career at WRVA. He was a devoted husband, a gentle father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his sister, Claire Durr Suckel. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Paula Torbett Durr; his daughter, Reagan Durr Yeatts and her husband, Michael; a grandson, Wm. Aiden Yeatts; a stepgrandson, Cole Yeatts; a sister, Karen Zucker of San Antonio, Texas; a cousin, two nephews; and his two very spoiled cats, Meeker and Tiger. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where a funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Va. 23220.
