CHATHAM, Gary Lee, 55, of Richmond, Va. passed away September 19, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iona Chatham; and his brother, Ron Chatham. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Chatham; son and daughter, Matthew and Michelle Chatham; father, Lee Chatham; sister, Linda Chatham, all of Richmond, Va. He retired from Verizon, and was a member of Communication Workers of America (CWA)-Local 2201, and a former member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers-Local 666. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 27, at Sabot at Stony Point, 3400 Stony Point Rd., from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sabot at Stony Point Building Fund, 3400 Stony Point Rd., Richmond, Va. 23235. He will be deeply missed by both family and friends for they were the ones more closely touched by his charm; but, to live in the hearts of those left behind is not to die.

It is hard to figure out the right words to tell your friends when they have lost someone so special. All I can say is Gary was truly loved and will be missed by so many. We were lucky to have known him.
