KINLAW, Gloria Fisher, 87, of Richmond, passed away October 5, 2009. She was the last of seven daughters of the late Gregory and Edna Fisher. She is survived by her husband, Calton F. Kinlaw of Richmond; son, Evan M. Gerlach Jr. and his wife, Sue Scott Sampson, of Richmond; daughter, Gloria Gerlach Griffin and her husband, William O. Griffin III, of Baton Rouge, La.; six grandchildren, William O. Griffin IV and Melanie Griffin Derry, both of Baton Rouge, La., Anna S. Lingley of Virginia Beach, Matthew S. Sampson of Roanoke, Jennifer M. Gerlach and Laura C. Gerlach, both of Richmond; and three great-grandsons. Mrs. Kinlaw was a former member of Brookland United Methodist Church (formerly Staples Mill Methodist Church), where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. In recent years, she was a member of Staples Mill Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bliley's - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Gloria. She was a great lady. Hope you are doing well Uncle Frank.

Frank, We were so sorry to hear about Gloria.We have missed seeing you guys at the beauty shop. Gloria used to tell me that she couldn't wait to go and see her mother. Well now she is up in heaven with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and her family. I know she will be greatly missed.
