Mary Dwyer Obituary

Dwyer, Mary Lou EAST GREENBUSH Mary Lou (Tommaney) Dwyer, 75, of East Greenbush, died Sunday March 30, 2008 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she had lived in the Capital Region all of her life. She was an administrative assistant for the NYS Assembly for many years prior to her retiring in 1994. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Eileen (Parkinson) Tommaney and her husband Edward Dwyer. Mary Lou was a devoted mother to her daughters, Patti (Scott) Tripp of Syracuse, Nancy (Paul) Dignum of Menands and a son, Peter Dwyer of Rensselaer. She was a dear sister to her brothers, James Tommaney of Ballston Spa and William Tommaney of San Jose, Calif. She was the best "Nanny" to her four grandchildren, Alex Tripp, Casey Dwyer, Zach and Kara Dignum. Mary Lou was also a loving companion to Tony Ciccone of East Greenbush. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2 at the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, N.Y. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.
