Margot Brown Obituary

Brown, Margot Elsa CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. Margot Elsa Brown, 74, of Clifton Park, passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice Inn of Albany County on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, after a short battle with cancer. Born and raised in Argentina, Margot traveled to the United States in 1960 and continued a family tradition of working in studio photography. In 1968, she met and married the man who would be her soul-mate of nearly 40 years, Richard J. Brown, and they traveled the country together until settling in the Capital Region in 1982. Besides her loving husband, Margot is survived by her two adoring sons and their wives, Major Walter and Tina Brown of Latham and Richard and Carol Brown of Evans, Ga.; five beautiful grandsons; a sister, Lele in Argentina; several nieces and a nephew in both the states and Argentina; and family pet, Brownie. She was predeceased by a sister, Ula. Margot will be remembered for her strength, poise, independence and pride in her growing family. She will be terribly missed. Friends are encouraged to celebrate Margot's life during calling hours at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, N.Y., on Friday, June 27, 2008, between 9 and 11 a.m. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that friends would consider contributions to the Community Hospice Inn of Albany County, 315 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208, as they so wonderfully and patiently took care of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, during her precious last days. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065; 518-371-5454 [email protected]
