Frances Parvana Obituary

Parvana, Frances A. LOUDONVILLE Frances A. Parvana, 86, of Loudonville, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Julie Blair Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born in Carovina, Italy and was the daughter of the late Rocco and Pompea Scaligeri. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Patrick P. Parvana in 2005. She was employed as a secretary with Sterling Winthrop Laboratory in Rensselaer for over 41 years, retiring several years ago. Frances is survived by her son, George Parvana of Loudonville; her sisters, Susan Ogborn and Anne Moran, both of Colonie, and her grandchildren, Rocco, Camille, Patricia and Michael Parvana, all of Colonie; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning at 9:00 at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 in memory of Frances A. Parvana. Georgie,So sorry to hear about your Mom. You had told me that she required a Nursing Home due to her illness. We had the same situation with our Mom and understand that it's not easy on anyone involved. Hopefully it is a blessing and she is now enjoying being with the rest of the family who had gone before her. I'll be thinking of you Georgie. You and your family are in my prayers.
