Philbert McKay Obituary

McKay, Philbert Adolphus PALM BAY, Fla. Philbert A. McKay, formerly of Albany, N.Y., died on Friday, June 20, 2008 after a battle with cancer. "Phil," as he was affectionately known, was born on February 24, 1935 in Jamaica, West Indies. He was the beloved husband of Ambrozine; devoted father of Sandra, Angela, Novelette, Cheryl, Julian, Osbourne, Ingrid, Ewart and Phillip. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three daugh-ters-in-law; one son-in-law; six brothers; a host of cousins; nieces, nephews and friends. A viewing will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 from 10-12 p.m. at the Church of Our Savior Episcopal Church, located at 1000 Jersey Lane, Palm Bay, FL 32905. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Fountainhead Memorial Park, Palm Bay, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of the Blessed Redeemer Building Fund at 1000 Jersey Lane, Palm Bay, FL 32905 and the American Cancer Society at 1260 Highway US 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. Buggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
