Virginia Braman Obituary

Braman, Virginia Ann HYDE PARK, N.Y. Virginia Ann Braman, 84, of Hyde Park, died July 10, 2008 at the Hudson Valley Nursing Center after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Pitts and Anna O'Donnell. Virginia attended Catholic High School in Troy. She retired in 1983 from Samaritan Hospital where she worked for the director of nursing. After living in Deltona, Fla., she moved to this area to be near her family after the loss of her husband, Kenneth, whom she married on January 5, 1943 in Troy. Her family was her life. Walking was her hobby. She made the most of her life whatever came her way. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She touched the hearts of many with her gentle hugs. Virginia was a member of the Good Shephard Church in Rhinebeck. Survived by her sister, Betty Keilen of Latham; son, Scott Braman and wife Karen of Albany; daughter, Virginia Millard and husband Tim of Hyde Park; grandchildren, Alex Braman, Jessica Lutz, both of Albany, Tim and Kym Millard, Gordon and Leanne Millard, all of Poughkeepsie, Matt and Amy Millard of Massachusetts; great-grand-children, Alaina, Blake, Mikayla and Brooke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Interment will be beside her husband and best friend in Deltona, Fla. There will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to Hudson Valley Rehabilitation & Extended Care Center, Resident Council Vineyard Avenue, Highland, N.Y. in memory of Virginia Braman. Arrangements in charge of John H. Darrow of the Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park, N.Y.
