Sorry for your lose, and sorry I was not aware of Tony's passing in time to make the services.
The first time I meet Tony was sometime in the early 60's I would have been about 7 or 8 years old. My father ran a Shell gas station in Albany, at Grant & Central Ave. Back then I believe Tony used a station wagon to deliver coffee & donuts. My father would buy me a donut and Tony would always make me take a second one saying I was to skinny. I never forgot that. My father closed the station a while later and I did not see Tony until about 12 years later when I went to work for a tire shop in Latham in about 1973. Tony now had a blue coffee truck, which had food not just coffee. I think for the next 7 or 8 years I had 2 steak & onion sandwiches everyday until he took that vacation to Italy. I ended up leaving that job in Latham and working downtown for the State in 1998. I was headed out to the vendors when I ran into Tony, needless to say I ate a lot of Pizza after that talking about the old times. Tony would always want me to take an extra slice of pizze and I would have to remind him that i was not that skinny kid any more, that would always put a smile on his face and i usually ended up taking the extra piece. When ever I have a donut, pizza or a steak & onion sandwich Tony will be in my thoughts. Mark
