James Brady Obituary

Brady, James J. EAST GREENBUSH James J. Brady, 82, of New York Avenue, died Friday, July 11, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Albany, he has lived in the Capital District all of his life. He was a veteran of World War II and then became a crane operator with Albany Crane Service for over 38 years and was a member of the International Union of Operating engineers local 106. He was the beloved husband of Jean V. (Bender) Brady; father of Karen (James) Leahey of East Greenbush and James J. (Valerie) Brady Jr. of Latham; brother of the late Joseph Brady; grandfather of Jeffrey, Jessica, and Caitlyn Leahey. Corey Brown, and Chad Brady; great-grandfather of Meaghan Leahey; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Tuesday morning at 9:30 at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer and at 10 o'clock at the Church of St. Mary where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 4-8 p.m. The family has request donations to the charity of ones choice.

I was saddened upon just learning of Jim's passing. During all the years he worked with Don and the others at Albany Crane he was always well liked and a true friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
