75th Birthday...a Big milestone for many people, I'm so sorry that Mr. Cuomo is not here to celebrate! Happy Birthday Mr. Cuomo!! I know you are watching over your wonderful family! Mr. Cuomo passed on my son's birthday... my son Troy was 24 years old on this birthday...the cycle of life. God Bless all of you!

Dear Bernie and Family, I simply can not find the correct words in expressing this tremendous loss of your scott and everyone's scott. Scott was a true gentleman, always found the good in people and situations when all seemed hopeless. Scott always had great stories and the ability to make people laugh as well as listen. No matter when I spoke with scott, he always talked about his family. who he loved so very much. H e love his town and worked very hard to keep waterford a wonderfulplace to call home for everyone. Each of us is a better person for having had scott touch our lives in one way or another.I will miss you my dear friend scottie my lad, but I will always know you are watching, when I feel the sun, or breeze, or see a star or raindropsfalling on me. My deepest condolences to Scotts family. I purchased saddle shoes for our daughters from Scott's shoe store and remember his enthusiasm and friendly manner, then we met again working together at Cohoes Mfg. and he still had that same interest, enthusiasm and smile. Years later I had jury duty and again, Scott was there, doing what he did best, making the world seem brighter for everyone fortunate to have him in it.

Dear Cuomo Family,
You don't know me but I knew your husband, your father, your grandpa, and your friend. I've had the pleasure of his presence at Garrett Field in Waterford while he admired his grandchildren play soccer. I've had the pleasure of seeing him in action while serving on the Board as Town Councilman. Within this past year I have had the pleasure of seeing Scotts smile while at his post in the Court House, stopping for my usual chat with him and Peter. Scott touched the lives of many, in simple ways as he has touched mine. Our Community, Scotts Community, not just Waterford has lossed a true gentleman. He will never be forgotten but will be sincerely missed.

I have to admit that sometimes I went to see my mom at the courthouse just so I could stop and see Scottie for a while. He made me smile every time I saw him and I can't thank you enough for that. He brought sunshine into my life when all seemed lost and no one could make me smile. I will miss his hugs and I will miss him. Someone once told me that there is no timeline for grief and no right or wrong way to grieve. When I didn't feel like praying because I was angry and confused, knowing that others were praying for me gave me peace. I learned a few months ago from my own loss that there is nothing I can say to make the pain go away, but I will pray for you to find peace and rest.

It is this mark of a great man when others feel empowered by his mere presence. Scott had such a gift. He treated all with the same level of compassion and concern, regardless of the years he held in acquaintance. That characteristic is why we feel such a profound loss. Seldom is the world treated to such a noble figure, and when he is gone, the elevation of our souls because of him, is diminished. It is with reverent sympathy that we express our condolences. Scott was a wonderful man and his impression will reverberate in all that he touched for lifetimes to come.

Mrs. Cuomo and family,
My deepest sympathy to you. I, like so many others, am proud to have known Mr. Cuomo. As a child, growing up in Waterford, I had the opportunity, each and every year, to venture to Cuomo's Shoe Store to pick out new school shoes and sneakers (usually P.F. Flyers in those days). I can recall, like it was yesterday, walking into the store and hearing Mr. Cuomo's enthusiastic greeting of "hello Mrs. Fronczek, what can I do for you and Vince today?" He was a gentleman, in the truest sense of the word and I was always impressed by his friendliness and his infectious smile. The Waterford community has lost one of its most notable and dedicated sons. My prayers and best wishes to you during this difficult time.

Bernie, Mike, Terri, Karen & Families, It's so hard to believe the news about Scott. What a great man! You know whenever I think of Saratoga Lake, I can't help but think of him and your family! And besides the camp, I can still see him at the shoe store, fitting me for a pair of shoes. So many great memories, and I hope those memories and more carry you through this sad time. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I was a parent of students at St. Mary's school. I had the pleasure of running into Mr. Cuomo at many functions. He always made me feel welcome and like I had a place there. I will always remember him as he was for this year's 8th Grade graduation. I will miss him.

Dear Bernie & Family--The Courthouse will never be the same. Although our loss does not approach the magnitude of yours, our collective hearts ache because our Scotty is gone. Mr. Cuomo sold me my first pair of baby shoes from his shoe store in Waterford. Many years later, my husband and I were fortunate to have worked with "Scotty" at Cohoes Mfrg. My husband Jason Shover worked with him selling shoes in their shoe department and I was a cashier. We were also very privledged to have had Scotty and Bernice attend our wedding in 1996. I have known Scott since he started working at the courthouse in Ballston Spa. I just can't imagine going into work everyday and not seeing his smiling face.
