To the Barber family.....my extended family~ my sincere condolences. Although I haven't seen Maureen in many years, our childhood memories are a part of my daily life and she will forever be a part of who I am today. I will never forget the many sleepovers, Hampton Manor Lake, wearing each others clothing, high school dances and fighting over boyfriends, not to mention keeping her company while she was in her body cast from breaking her hip. She is in a better place free of pain and suffering and most likely a referee for the card games between Isabel and my mother. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless, Janice

Maureen, and Carol Denton and I used to spend breaks and lunches together at Verizon. Playing cards for pennies was our game. Maureen was a very special person---very nice, very funny. It was such fun to spend my time with Maureen and Carol. I miss them.

My sympathies go out to the Barber family. I played softball with Moe. We lived in Hampton Manor not far from one another. Fond memories of the whole family.

I worked with Maureen when it was NY Tel, Nynex and Bell Atlantic. Maureen was a soft-hearted, funny, irreverent person who made every day an adventure. Her love for her son Michael was known to all. Her marriage to Frank brought her great happiness. What fun we had! Rest in peace, dear Maureen.
