Willis Archambeault Obituary

Archambeault, Willis A. COHOES Willis A. Archambeault Jr. of Jefferson Ave., Cohoes, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Albany Medical Center Hospital embraced by his loving family. Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Willis A. and Aurore Daigneault Archam-beault. Willis was a lifelong resident of Cohoes and graduated from LaSalle Institute in Troy in 1953. He retired from the Watervliet Arsenal as a machinist in 1993 after 27 years of employment. Willis was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, skiing and bowling. He is survived by his devoted siblings, Agnes Fennen, Anne Marie Cooper, both of Cohoes, and George Archambeault and his wife Mary of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Frank Valentino. A very special thank you to Kelli Fennen for the outstanding care and support extended to Willis. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes Saturday morning at 9:00; Mass of Christian Burial from St. Bernard's Church, Cohoes at 9:30. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon from 4-6.

I am so sorry to hear about Willis. He George and I grew up together in Cohoes and I have a lot of great memories. Again I am so sorry. George hang in there.

My condolonces to the Archambeault family on the loss of your brother and uncle. Ilived next door to him on Lancaster St. and remember him as a happy go lucky guy who loved hunting and fishing. I will always remember him as a gentleman.
