Robert Kaszubowski Obituary

Kaszubowski, Robert P. CLIFTON PARK Robert P. "Bob" Kaszubowski, 64, of Greenlea Drive in Clifton Park and formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., died suddenly on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at his residence. He was born on February 6, 1944 in Buffalo, and was the son of the late Henry and Emily Czechowski Kaszubowski. Bob was a graduate of Bishop Timon High School in Buffalo and the University of Wisconsin where he received his bachelor's degree in engineering. Mr. Kaszubowski was a Lt. commander in the U.S. Navy Seabees. Bob retired in 2001 as an international representative in the Third District of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He held this position for 14 years. He was a member of the Local #41, I.B.E.W. for 45 years and had served as an assistant business manager prior to going on the international staff. He was a member and the president of the board of directors of Hospitality House in Albany, N.Y. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Clifton Park and was a volunteer at Proctor's Theater in Schenectady. He was a communicant, Usher, reader and Eucharistic minister at Corpus Christi Church in Ushers, N.Y. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Bialek Kaszubowski; devoted father of Kevin Kaszubowski of Nassau, N.Y. and Jennifer Menagias of Niskayuna, N.Y.; brother of Cynthia Surowiec of Salt Lake City, Utah; cherished grandfather of Maxi-mos and Sampson Menagias. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bob was prede-ceased by his brother, Gerald Kaszubowski. Funeral will be Monday at 8:15 a.m. from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park thence to Corpus Christi Church in Ushers where at 9:00 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Interment will be held with full military honors in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuyler-ville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospitality House TC Inc., 271 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12206, in memory of Bob. [email protected]
