Robert Alan Irving

Irving, Robert Alan CLIFTON PARK Robert Alan Irving, of Clifton Park, age 68, passed away peacefully July 17, 2008 at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home after a long battle with Friedreich's Ataxia. Son of the late John and Edna Irving, he was formerly of Malverne, N.Y. Robert was the beloved husband of the late Muriel Anne, who predeceased him in 1993. He was the loving brother of John, Eleanor, and Joyce and wonderful uncle to his niece, Mary. Robert was a graduate of St. John's University. He worked as a statistician for insurance companies, and county government. He later owned a business. Robert loved fishing and the outdoors. He gathered great joy from his children and grandchildren. Survived by son, Russell (Jill) Irving of Ballston Lake; daughter, Linda (Christian) Smith of Little Silver, N.J.; grandchildren, Nicole, Riley, Liam, Conor, Ava, and Sophie. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Catricala Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
