Sam Clevenson was a gentleman. For 30 years, I have appreciated his personal kindness and professional guidance. More recently, I have been grateful for his active, journalist's inquisitiveness with respect to Daughters of Sarah Senior Community, which I serve as Director of Corporate Communications. He suggested topics for releases and was clearly committed to helping us speak to the Jewish community through The Jewish World. I will miss him.

Sam and The Jewish World have been an important part of our lives in this community. We have been very fortunate to have them.

Not only that, but I will miss Sam's friendship and his wry sense of humor.

My condolences to Sam's entire family. Sam leaves a wonderful legacy in the Jewish World - the best local Jewish newspaper I have seen, in any community. His personal editorials will be greatly missed.
