Daniel Corbett Obituary

Corbett, Daniel J. BALLSTON SPA Daniel J. Corbett, 86, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 24, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Dan was born in Willsboro, N.Y., the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Stevens) Corbett. He had resided in Ballston Spa for the last 21 years. Dan was a chauffeur for Chemical Leamans Trucking, out of the Port of Albany for 44 1/2 years. He was also president of Local Teamsters 232. Dan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his real passion was his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy; his children, Sandra (Howard) Cropsey of Cape Cod, Mass., Robert D. (Barbara) Corbett of Wilton, N.Y., Daniel J. Corbett Jr. of Latham, N.Y., Diane (John) Franklin of N.J., Sharon Dearstyne of Troy, N.Y., Virginia (Paul) McQuade of Waterford, N.Y., Lynn Serekis of Tampa, Fla. and Dawn (Steven) Borcherding of Ballston Spa; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Memory's Garden Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.NewcomerFamily.com
