Mildred Marshall Obituary

Marshall, Mildred S. TAMPA, Fla. Mildred S. Marshall "Millie," 72, of Tampa, formerly of Colonie, N.Y., passed away July 20, 2008 at Carrollwood Care Center in Tampa. She was born April 7, 1936 to the late Roy Hersey and Helen Leavitt Hersey in Waterville, Maine. Millie grew up in Exeter, Maine. After graduating high school, she went on to college to become a home economics teacher. Millie moved to Fla. and met her former husband, Harry. They moved to Albany and finally to Colonie. Millie taught home economics and health in So. Colonie Schools where she retired in 1993 and moved back to Fla. Millie leaves behind her daughters, Lynn (Tony) Kesseling of Albany and Jean Marshall of Las Vegas, Nev. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Carly Jean and her soon-to-be great-grandchild; also survived by a brother, Harold Olcut Hersey of Stetson, Maine and a sister, Linda (Stanley) Bean of East Corinith, Maine; also many nieces, nephews; cousins; and loving friends. Millie's family wishes to thank the staff of Carrollwood Care for the love and care shown to her during the last two years she was a resident. They also wish to thank her close friend, Karen Lewanick of Tampa for her help and also Millie's niece, Holly Hersey for helping during this very difficult time. Millie loved life, her friends and being a teacher. She loved a party and to play cards with her friends. She also loved her family more than anything. A memorial service, as per Millie's wishes, will be held in Maine at a later date. She will be buried with her parents and two infant siblings.
