Carmen Pellicciotti Obituary

Pellicciotti, Carmen GHENT Carmen Pellicciotti, 83, of Ghent, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Born June 26, 1925 in Cortland, he was the son of Ignazio and Nicoletta Pellicciotti. Carmen was employed at the Times Union in Albany in the design layout and print department for over 37 years. He was a graduate of the School for the Deaf in Rome, N.Y. and was a member of the Utica Fraternity for the Deaf. Carmen was a member of the West Ghent Reformed Church and a member of the Northeast Senior Club for the Deaf. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed woodworking, photography, and all sports, especially bowling. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie (Kraft) Pellicciotti of Ghent; two daughters, Carmelita De-Cicco of Stuyvesant Falls and Tammy Barbour of Coxsackie; four grandchildren, Nicoletta DeCicco, Brian DeCicco, Nathan Barbour and Bianca Barbour; his sister, Dazaline Oakes of Cortland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers. Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Bates & Anderson - Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green St., Hudson, NY 12534. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the West Ghent Reformed Church. Burial will be in the West Ghent Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
