Joan Bushey Obituary

Bushey, Joan C. ALBANY Joan C. Vincent Bushey, 75, of Albany, died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn, Albany after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Donald F. Bushey. Born in Jamaica, Queens on October 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Josephine Griffith Vincent. Joan had resided in the Capital District since the age of 13. She was a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy. Joan was employed for over 25 years as the assistant to the medical director at several local hospitals, retiring from St. Peter's Hospital as assistant in 1975. She was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church in Loudonville. In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by her beloved son; Michael W. Bushey of Albany; her brother, Charles Vincent of Gardengrove, Calif.; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Mills of Scotia; her cousins, Patricia (Walter) Schlegel, Rosanne Baughman and Kathleen Schlegel and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Family and friends are invited and may call at the Bowen Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham on Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
