Mae Hasso Obituary

Hasso, Mae TROY Mae Meder Hasso, 92, of Troy, entered into eternal life on Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Green Island, she was the daughter of the late Jay P. and Lillian Bolles Meder. She was the beloved wife of the late George Elmer Hasso and was also pre-deceased by her son, Georgie Hasso. Mae was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy, and attended the College of St. Rose in Albany. Along with her husband George, they co-owned and operated Hasso Furs in Troy until their retirement in 1983. Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Thomas) Gorman of Surfside Beach, S.C. and a son, David (Michele) Hasso of North Greenbush, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Thomas (Betsy) Gorman of Elmira, N.Y., and James (Daniel-le) Gorman of Port Douglas, Australia; four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchild-ren; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 3rd St., Troy with Fr. Randy Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
