Elizabeth Carpenter Obituary

Carpenter, Elizabeth L. MALTA, N.Y. Elizabeth L. Carpenter, 66, of Tia Terrace, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 1, 1942 in Schenectady, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace Sigler Shults. She was a graduate of Colonie Central Schools and attended Schenectady County Community College. Elizabeth was employed as a LPN at the Glendale Nursing Home, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Presbyterian New England Congregational Church in Saratoga Springs. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, the late Lawrence and James Carpenter. Survivors include her loving domestic partner, Johnine Simpson; four sons and two daughters, Raymond, William, James (Peg) and John (Denise) Fry, Charlotte Giordano and Kathy Kaiser. Elizabeth is also survived by six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian New England Congregational Church, 24 Circular Street, Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Those who wish may make contributions in memory of Elizabeth, to the Heifer International at Heifer.org or to the scholarship fund for Kirkridge Retreat Center at kirkridge.org Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Gordon C.
