To Alice and the family,
Walter was a man of the utmost integrity and compassion. He exemplified the meaning of pastoring in the Church and of being a true Brother in his Masonic family. He truly "pointed to Heaven and led the way" and will be sorely missed by all of us left behind.

Dear Alice and Family,

I have followed Father Walter's illness with sadness, as he was a clear voice of compassion, sense, and good will in our Episcopal Church. I always enjoyed seeing him when he could attend our Clifton Park Ultraya and other meetings I attended. He was a gentle man and a gentleman. I know we will all see him again in a far better place.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Grace, peace, and love,

~Colette Odell (St. George's, Clifton Park)

The love and compassion Fr. Collins
held for the children of St. Margaret's will not be forgotten. During his weekly prayer visits he eagerly took time to visit on all the units. He would meet the new children, visit the sick in the hospital, and was always available for famililies and staff during the final arrangements, funeral and memorial services. I remember his dedication many times to stay in the cemetery whenever a child without family was placed to rest. Fr. Collins humbly wore the vestment of children and was proud to be a part of St. Margaret's.
