Pattie J. Joiner

Joiner, Pattie J. ALBANY Pattie J. Joiner, 45, of Albany, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Peter's Hospital after a long, courageous battle with cancer on August 11, 2008. Born on December 28, 1962 in Oxford, Missis-sippi, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Maggie Lee Joiner. Pattie enjoyed spending time with family members and was the constant companion of her mother. Pattie taught us to enjoy the simple things in life and appreciate the time we have with each other. Pattie is survived by her siblings, Arthur (Angela) Joiner, Wilma (Dennis) White, Betty Joiner, and Jeanette (Sylvester) Ryals; niece of Ike (Kathleen) Cancer, Geneva (late Leonard) Nicks, and Mary Louise (late Thomas) Lewis. Pattie leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including longtime friends, Katie Jones and Gladys Smith and special friend, Daise Dobbs. Special thanks to St. Peter's Hospital staff and Community Hospice Inn of Albany. Funeral services Thursday at 12:00 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Washington Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the church Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service in Graceland Cemetery.
