Lance was a wonderful incongruous mix of characters. He was a kind and gentle man with the ability to converse on any subject from "strings and e-molecules" to current events and politics. He had a fascination with synchronicity, metaphysics, and the concept of Time in world cultures. He was a wonderful and devoted friend and companion to his wife Carol. He was a wonderful grandpa to Cody, Kyle and Nickolas and father figure to Michelle and Michael. He was a student and a mentor. He was my friend and my son Adam's friend. I remember his rich sense of humor, our many wild conversations over the years, his kindness and generosity...especially allowing us to stay at their house with three dogs!
He was a man noted for his keen intellect and for doing the best Reindeer Dance I ever saw!
My love and support are extended to my dearest friend Carol, her children, and her grandchildren. I'll greatly miss him.

We were all shocked and saddened this morning to read of Lance's passing. He was a kind gentleman and a good neighbor and will be sadly missed.

Please accept our deepest condolences.
