Eva Edmond

Edmond, Eva IRVINE, Calif. Eva Szikra Edmond, age 93, of Irvine, formerly of Albany, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Laguna Hills, Calif. Mrs. Edmond was born in Budapest, Hungary and came to the United States in 1944. She had been a Capital District resident for many years and had resided with her late husband Ernest Edmond at the Executive House in Albany. She was a librarian at the State University of New York Library for many years and was a former member of Temple Israel. Eva had resided in Calif. for the past several years. Eva is survived by a nephew, Alexander ( Mieka) Gelley of Irvine. She was the great-aunt of Ora Gelley and Mira ( Andrew Newman) Gelley. She also leaves a great-great-nephew, Reuben Gelley-Newman.
