I have known Ron for many years. Just like Eddie, Ron made me laugh all the time, even at is bed side in the hospital. He looked over at me and said, “Be careful sitting on the windowsill it is wet”. It made me jump up and look back. Then Ron gave that laugh. I looked at him and said Ron you never change. He always liked to bust my chops.
I, My Wife and Pastor Pettey's went down to pray with Ronnie. For those of you reading this, Ronnie made his peace and repentance with God. It makes my heart feel good knowing that. My Dad (Mike Maloney) brought Ronnie in the church 27 years ago. Sometimes life brings you in many directions, and sometimes you forget His Grace. It’s never to late the asked for forgiveness. That day in the hospital, I was there to finish my Dads works.
On the way down there I had many things go through my mind on what I would say to him. I had a list..... Above all, even after talking about all the memories him and my family had, and My Dad. One of the most important things I said was…..I love him.

Way back when I first met Ronnie in the band days, there was no one who could make me laugh so hard.
The old days at the Petersburg farm are times I'll never forget. We will miss you Ronnie. We know you're in a better place, and all your suffering is over.
