Lois Gresen Obituary

Gresen, Lois M. ALBANY Lois M. Gresen, 88, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Born in Albany on June 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Alma (Dascher) Mortensen. She was married to Arthur Gresen who died in 2005. She is survived by her devoted son, Bruce (Sharon) Gresen of Niskayuna; two brothers, Warren Mortensen and Kenneth (Jeanette) Mortensen of Selkirk; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Gresen, Stacy Hagin and Jayme (Jason) Nagel; great-grand-children, Kyle and Jenna Gresen; nephew, Kenneth Mortensen Jr. and niece, Robin (Patrick) Reed. Lois's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their kindness, care and compassion to Lois during her stay at the nursing home. A special thank you to her niece, Robin Reed for all of her love and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Norman E. Dascher Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. on Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont. Those who wish may make donations to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 75 Whitehall Rd., Albany, NY 12209 or to Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
