Blanche Brys Obituary
Brys, Blanche DOLGEVILLE Mrs. Blanche Brys, 92, a former resident of Dolge Avenue, Dolgeville, and who has been residing with her son at Rt. 29A, Salisbury Center, died Monday, October, 6, 2008 at his residence. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on August 2, 1916, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Tencza) Tyburczy. Her marriage to Stanley Brys took place on January 24, 1937 in Brooklyn. Mr. Brys predeceased her on March 8, 1986. The couple operated a farm from 1947 until they moved to the village of Dolgeville in 1967. Mrs. Brys was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Dolgeville and personally enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Florence and Lawrence Taylor of East Greenbush, N.Y.; her sons and their wives, Stanley and Christine Brys with whom she was residing, Edward and Gloria Brys of Dolgeville; her grandchildren, John Brys Jr., Pamela Brys, James Brys, Sandra and her husband Michael Griggs, Judy and her husband John Licciardo, Amy and her husband Andrew Goodman, Edward and his wife Tammy Brys, Jessica Brys-Wilson and her husband Eric, Jennifer Brys, Larry and his wife Rhonda Taylor Jr., Tamara and her husband Gregg Emmich, Joseph Taylor, Michele and her husband Marc Zeyak, Janine and her husband Tony Fusco; 25 great- grandchildren and nine great- great-grandchildren; her sisters, Stella Kruszka of Staten Island and Mary Tyburczy of Poland; also nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Brys in January 1975; a sister, Sophie Foderaro; and a brother, Lawrence Tyburczy. The family wishes to especially thank Donna Harpis, who has been Mrs. Brys' caregiver and was attentive to all of her needs. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, North Helmer Avenue, Dolge-ville. The Rev. Leo F. Potvin will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Roberts and Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Avenue, Dolgeville. Memorial in Mrs. Brys' name, may be made to St. Joseph's Church Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
