Edith Restifo Obituary

Restifo, Edith A. ALBANY Edith A. Restifo, 88, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at St.Peter's Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angela Camuglia Restifo. Edith retired in 1990 from the State Insurance Fund. She was so proud of her Sicilian heritage and loved anything and everything Italian...and, so how appropriate Our Lord took her on Columbus Day weekend! Edith also enjoyed her Friday night bingo outings. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Jason Heckman and especially to Dr. Theodore Zeltner, who always brought a smile to her face. Edith was the sister of the late Rose Spardaro, Frances Lanza, Carmella Restifo, Anthony, Salvatore, John and Angelo Restifo; aunt of Maria (Lanza) Colbert and her husband Don of Albany, Donna (Restifo) Peek and her husband George of Guilderland and Cheryl (Restifo) Rougas of Guilderland; great-aunt of Brian and Craig Colbert, Courtney and Olivia Peek, Jessica and Kaitlyn Rougas and Brianna Liston. Funeral services Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany thence to St. Francis de Sales Church, Loudonville, at 10:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
