Marion Ruth "Mimi" Laraway

Laraway, Marion Ruth "Mimi" ALBANY, N.Y. Mrs. Marion Ruth "Mimi" Laraway, 91, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilder land. Born on November 27, 1916 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Bollman Flack. Marion was a lifelong Albany resident and attended local schools. A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother, Marion was a homemaker and was employed for several years with the New York State Department of Tax and Finance in Albany. She was also a member of the Third Reformed Church of Albany. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband of over 67 years, Andrew J. Laraway whom she married on September 26, 1936. He passed away on February 24, 2004. Also predeceased by her brother, John Flack. Survivors include a son, Andrew W. (Emily) Laraway of Altamont; three granddaughters, Deborah (Dean) VanDyke of Hudson, Laurie (Raymond) Michaels-Cerrone of Clifton Park, and Kimberly (Robert) Gold of Evergreen, Colo.; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler VanDyke, Paul and Joshua Michaels, Alexandra Cerrone, Benjamin Picard, and Jacob, Sam, and Mosha Gold; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany followed by interment in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
