In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

When I read this poem it reminded me of the days Uncle Ray, I and dad hunted together and dad used to rattle the change in his pocket while watching for deer to come, they never did because of the noise it made. Uncle Ray used to always say Ed if you stopped rattling the change you might get something, but he always did that when ever he hunted.

I thank Uncle Ray for giving me the opportunity to work for him @ Rushmore and Weber it gave me the experience to be able to be as successful as I am today.

many good people are waiting patiently for his arrival home.Which someday we all will be reunited with. He will find his way by the noise of rattling change.

With our sincere sympathy

To My Husband David,

Whenever you need a friend to talk to, I am here for you and always will be. I know it's tough right now, but it will get better with time. Just remember all the wonderful times you spent together with your father, especially hunting and camping. Those are the thoughts that will keep you going and help you to make it through this difficult time in your life. Please find comfort in knowing that he is at peace now in God's loving hands.

Stay strong and don't hesitate to come to me for anything that you may be needing.

I Love You always and forever.

Shannon

p.s. For the rest of the family, my heart goes out to all of you as well and if you need anything or even just someone to talk to, I'm here.
