Paul Goca Obituary

Goca, Paul T. ALBANY Paul T. Goca, 98, formerly of Albany, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 at Eddy Heritage House in Troy after a long illness. He was born in Rensselaer and was the son of the late Paul J. and Mary Heck Goca. Paul was a US Army veteran having served during World War II. He was the proprietor of Paul's Trucking and Moving Company in Albany for over 25 years. Paul was a longtime volunteer driver for the American Red Cross. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Peterson Goca in 1994; his sister, Marie S. Corkrey; his niece, Bernadette R. Stevenson and his nephew, Raymond F. Corkrey Jr. Paul is the beloved uncle of Sr. Geraldine Corkrey CSJ of Latham and Beth (John) Antonio of Loudonville. Several grandnieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:45 at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Teresa of Avila Church, Albany at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer. In lieu of flowers and at the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Development Office of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Rd. Paul & I were freinds for over 80 years and I am sorry to read of his passing I haven't see or heard from him for quite a while
