To Gloria, Jen ,John and GrandMa
Sorry for your loss. George was a special individual.I've only known George for 8 years but consider it a privilege to be his friend.George had many qualities but a few of his attributes were his personality, humor and relentless giving to others. I admired his strength and saw him conquer the various illnesses that challenged him.Though George was plagued with major health concerns he always had time to help others in need. I was the fortunate recipient when I experienced major health issues.Besides my wife,George was intrumental in my recovery process. At times he used humor to get his point across and other times he shocked me into reality but was always there with that No problem attitude. My wife and George were vital in my recovery from my own adversities. I love George like a brother and will feel the void for life. The saying that life goes on is true and Cossayuna will have the bonfires and friends will get together and celebrate but it won't be quite the same without Georgie.George was the nucelus of our group and can't be replaced. I will miss fishing for bubba with him and hope he's saving a seat on his boat for me.

Gloria and Family
My first meeting with George was in Albany Medical center when he came to my room to give some support when I was a patient waiting for a heart transplant. He visited me often when I was there and also gave me some "tips" as to what to expect after transplant. He was sure a great guy and usually had a smile even with all that was going on, health wise. I am sure he will be missed by his family and I miss knowing that he will not be there for advice if I needed it. We were not close but we were friends and transplant brothers. I am sorry that I did not get to the funeral home or his funeral but George would understand.

Glo, Jen, and John,
I'm so sorry to be sitting here writing this. George was an amazing person. Cindy is right! Everything was "no problem". He loved you all so much and was so proud to be your husband or father. I've never met a kinder person in my life. During Dave's and Chelsea's accident, he was a rock for me. He shared so much with me and my kids. He wanted all kids to experience everything in life. In the 16 years I've known your family, I've loved your family. I will miss him more than I can put into words. I'm glad to have had the chance to get to know him and love him as my friend. He will always have a very special place in my heart.
If there is anything I can do to help you during this time, please let me know.

aunt gloria , jennifer, john & family please accept my deepest sympathies. we have lost a great man but were lucky enough to have had him as long as we did. my husband steve is a little pissed he won't be there for "opening day" but says he will be there in spirit. we all move on with our lives and loose touch with family but please know i often asked mom & dad how you all were doing. i will have my memories of uncle george with me always & he will "never" be forgotten. he will be sadly missed. take comfort that you have many who are here for you. may god bless you all. godspeed lisa

Gloria,Jen,Todd,John and Grandma,

Words cannot express the loss we feel. "Georgie" was a unique man with a zest for life and everything to him was "no problem". I think one of the things I admired about him the most was the gift he had with children and the many that he saved. He was a man of few words but you always knew where you stood with him. (I was number 1). I am very proud to have known him and to call him my friend. None of our lives here in Cossayuna will be the same without him.
Our love and prayers are with you all,
Cindy Newton
