Frederick Ristau Obituary

Ristau, Frederick TROY Frederick "Fritz" Ristau, 83, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the Northwoods at Troy. He was born in Albany, the son of the late Willis and Anna Lauer Ristau. He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II. Fritz was employed by the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance, Albany for 33 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Ft. Orange Chapter of the AARP, the Bucci McTague American Legion and a former member of the Watervliet Elks. Mr. Ristau was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anastasia Glusko Ristau. He is survived by a brother, Willis (Jean) Ristau, Castleton; an uncle, Henry Ristau, North Greenbush; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, October 27, 2008, 10:30 a.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Hurst Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are also invited to call at the Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Monday, 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society, Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
