Alma Battistoni Obituary

Battistoni, Alma ALBANY Alma Furlani Battistoni, 82, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at her home. Alma was born in Mass., but lived most of her life in Albany, and devoted her life and love to her family. She was an owner of the Tendercare Child Center, where she was known as Gram. Gram loved and missed all of her Tendercare family. Mrs. Battis-toni was predeceased by her husband, Vincent N. Battistoni. She is survived by her daughter, Ann M. (Dave) Becker of Albany; her daughter-in-law, Meryl Battistoni of Manhattan; her grandchildren, Juliana Battistoni, Robert (Jill) Becker, Teresa (Greg) Hertik, and Lea Becker; her great-grandchildren, Allyson and Devin Becker and Victoria and Brayden Hertik; her niece, Donna (Tony) Califano; and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Richard "Chic" Battistoni. The family would like to extend a special thank you to "Dolly's Angels": Barbara, Margie, Lisa and Michele. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Saturday morning at 9:15, and from there to St. Margaret Mary's Church, Homestead St., Albany at 10:00. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Saturday after 8:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
