Walk on with faith, for who can tell

Illuminated by the eternal sunshine,
The shadow fell for a moment
Upon the hour that marked his death,
Then passed, leaving his name and memory.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Amen

I just learned of Colonel Warren's death and wanted you to know that I was the one whole called EMS and was with him until the professionals took over. I am a disabled veteran and was not about to leave a fallen soldier even though we did not know each other. He wanted two things; his wife to be notified - and a bandage so he could finish his errands! I was blessed to have met him. God be with you in your time of sadness and know he was thinking of you!

Dear Fran and Family,
So sorry to hear of Bill's death. He would always come over to visit whenever Carol and I visited my Dad in Slingerands and we would always talk about West Point and the Army. I know how much my father appreciated his friendship and comradship at church. The country lost a great soldier and citizen.

The Warren Family:

Was a colleague of Bill at both the N.Y.S. Transportation Dep't and with the Capital District Genealogical Society. Always the well informed and highly knowledgeable gentleman. A member of the "greatest" generation who was worthy of the name.

Your feelings of loss must be overwhelming. May your period of bereavement and grief be mercifully short. Try to take comfort in the knowledge of Bill's good and long life which was a blessing to all who knew him.

God bless you all.
