Reynolds, Marcus T. II LOUDONVILLE Marcus T. Reynolds II, of Loudonville, N.Y., died September 20, 2007 at Memorial Hospital, Albany of cancer. Born in 1926 in Albany, he was the son of Kenneth G. and Lydia Hun Reynolds. He is a descendant of Declaration of Independence signer Josiah Bartlett and the great-nephew and namesake of noted Albany architect and designer of Albany's signature structure, the Delaware and Hudson building, Marcus T. Reynolds. He graduated from St. Paul's School, Concord, N.H. and Williams College, Williamstown, Mass. (class of 1950). While at Williams, he earned nine varsity letters and went on to play semi-pro hockey for the Clinton Comets for two seasons. During World War II, he served with distinction as an infantryman/scout in the thirteenth armored division of Patton's Third Army in France, Germany and Austria. He held many senior management positions in the U.S. and Canadian pulp and paper industry for 48 years and served a term as president of the American Association of Wood Pulp Importers. Throughout his life, he was an avid golfer and upland hunter. He was a member of the Schuyler Meadows Club and formerly a member of the Seminole Golf Club, Round Hill Club, Verbank Hunting Club and Mashomack Preserve Club. Marcus will be fondly remembered by his many friends for his sense of humor and great love of life. He is survived by his wife Edith (Eli) Ives Reynolds; a brother, Stephen Reynolds of Cropsey-ville, N.Y.; sons, William B. and Thomas H. Reynolds; nephews, Stephen and Cord Reynolds; and grandsons, Marcus, Samuel, Thomas, Cuyler and Boden. He is also survived by niece and nephew, Janet and Kenneth Reynolds. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at St. Peter's Church, Albany with a reception to follow for family and friends at Schuyler Meadows Club.
