Isabella Van Denburg Obituary

Van Denburg, Isabella COLONIE Isabella C. Van Denburg, 96, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2007. Born in Albany, she was a resident of Colonie for all of her life. Mrs. Van Denburg was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church. Bell was active in the Ladies Home Bureau and was a 50-year member of the West Albany Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed canning her own vegetables and fruits from her garden. Bell was the beloved wife of the late Bernard D. Van Denburg. She is the devoted mother of Beverly Bollman of Colonie, Bernard Van Denburg Jr. of Colonie, Edward Van Denburg of Texas and David Van Denburg of Delmar. She is the sister of Gertrude Dennis, Audrey Myers, Alfred Miller and the late Herbert Miller, Jr., Hilda Urbano and Agnes Thayer. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grand-children, 19 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bell's family would like to extend a special thank you to Yuika for her many years of dedicated and loving care to Isabella at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Francis de Sales Church, Exchange Street at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Isabella C. Van Denburg.
