Dorothy K. Nusca

Nusca, Dorothy K. WATERVLIET Dorothy K. Ford Nusca, 79, formerly of Troy, died Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in Watervliet on January 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Grigg Ford. Raised and educated in Watervliet, Mrs. Nusca was a resident of Troy for over 50 years before moving back to Watervliet one year ago. She was employed at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy in the cafeteria and also at Union National Bank in Troy. She was a homemaker raising her five boys. She enjoyed bingo, reading and was an avid New York Yankee fan. She is the beloved wife of 57 years of Ralph Nusca Sr.; loving mother of John P. (Joyce) Nusca of Mechanicville, Richard (Nancy) Nusca of Speigletown, Ralph (Carol) Nusca Jr. of Largo, Fla., William (Kathy) Nusca of Troy and Joseph E. (Cathy) Nusca of Valatie; grandmother of Julie, Elizabeth, Ken, Laurie, Erik, Heather, Tracie, Billy, Joey and Alexis Nusca and Jennifer McCormick; great-grandmother of Mya; sister of Gloria (Robert) Osborne of Fla. and the late Earl and William Ford; cousin of Joyce Beckley. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and 9:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church in Latham. Interment, Saratoga National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
