Louis Wright Herborg

Herborg, Louis Wright ARLINGTON, Mass. Louis Wright Herborg, 69, of Arlington, died Monday, October 15, 2007 at the Park Avenue Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a brief illness. Born in New York City, he was son of the late Richard Nielson Herborg of Skyjern, Denmark and Helen Johnson Herborg of West Orange, N.J. He was a graduate of Columbia High School, So. Orange, N.J. and Boston University School of Public Relations and Communications (SPA) where he was director of intra-mural sports and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. An Arlington resident since 1979, Louis and his family enjoyed spending summers at the family residence in Ticonderoga, N.Y. for over 38 years. Louis was a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Toastmasters and Junior Chamber of Commerce. He received many awards and recognition for his prolific writing. He was director of public relations and communications for the State University of NY at Potsdam and Oswego. He later worked for NYS Life Underwriters as director of public information. He was later transferred to the MA Life Underwriters. In 1992, Louis went on to a new occupation as director of admissions and teacher for the Professional Bartenders School until his retirement in 2005. A member of Grace Chapel in Lexington, Mass., Louis had the gifts of humor, encouragement and compassion. An avid sports fan, he could give facts and anecdotes from baseball to boxing. Louis is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Carole Hall-Herborg; his loving daughter, Kristen Herborg Dulling and her husband Gary W. Dulling of Melrose, Mass.; his cherished grandson, Nicholas S. Dulling of Melrose, Mass. He is also survived by his "Mom," Frances W. Hall of Arlington; and his aunt, Edna W. Dean of Troy, N.Y.
