Dorothy Trufant Obituary

Trufant, Dorothy M. EASTON Dorothy M. Trufant, 62, a resident of General Fellows Rd., died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Saratoga Hospital. Born October 5, 1945 in Glens Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Bernice Johnson Booth. Dorothy was a member of the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed her grandchildren, swimming, her cat Fancy, Christmas crafts, poetry and country music. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Booth; a sister, Sandra Booth; and son-in-law, Kyle Genaway. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Bradley Trufant of Easton; son, Bret Trufant and his wife Karen of Greenwich; daughters, Carrie Genaway of Delmar and Jennie Hill and her husband Darrell of Greenwich; grandchildren, Roman Austin and Roland Genaway of Delmar, Alexis and Dylan Galagan, Patty and Gareth Hill, all of Greenwich; sister Virginia Coffinger and her husband Richard of Gansevoort; brother, R. Harry Booth and his wife Joanne of Easton; several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2007 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the funeral home followed by a reception at the Ashlar Lodge on Route 40. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. The family suggests memorials in her name be made to the General Schuyler Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 111, Schuylerville, NY 12871. Online remembrances can be made at: www.flynnbrosinc.com

Family: You certainly have my sympathy. Dot and I e-mailed a lot so I thought it was only right that I should sign the "guest book" on line. Brad, you had a wonderful fun loving wife who I know loved you dearly and Bret, Carrie,and Jenny she treasured you all and your children. She loved to love and share. God's Blessing to ALL of you!

I was saddened to learn the loss of your wife/mother. I remember her bubbley giggle at Carrie's Birthday parties as a child and ice skating in your back yard. Those were the day's. You guy's were good neighbor's all those year's. You are all in my thought's and prayer's.
