They say time heals all wounds, well 14 yrs later and in reflection, not really sure about that.. Sadly it seems like just yesterday that you passed. I miss you as much today, as that day, if not more.

I pray for you & dad every morning, hope you're together with everyone enjoying heaven..

Its so hard to believe today marks 11 years. I have to say it doesn't get any easier without you in my life. There's so much I hope and pray that you are seeing, like how great the kids are and how they are a reflection of you.

Not one day has passed that I havent missed or thought about you.

I learned about love from you,
Watching your caring ways.
I learned about joy from you
In fun-filled yesterdays.

From you I learned forgiving
Of faults both big and small.
I learned what I know about living
From you, as you gave life your all.

The example you set is still with me
I'd never want any other.
I'm thankful for all that you taught me,
And I was very blessed to have once called you "Mother."

Hey Aunt B. Ok, so you must come talk to Taylor every once in awhile because she has been doing different things. At school she drew a picture of an angel and said she was thankful for her Aunt Barbara. At Christmas she bought uncle Den a manger and said the star on top was you watching over all of us. She keeps asking when we can go and bring you flowers. Uncle Den said wait until the snow clears!! It's hard going to your house without you there. I picture you sitting in the chair with that old cane!! You are missed every day. Rest in peace Aunt B. We love you.

Aunt B.
Can't believe a whole year has gone by already. We really miss you. Every once in awhile Taylor will tell us that we need to bring you flowers. Are you talking to her? It's just funny how she comes out with it out of no where. They say kids see things we can't. Well we just want you to know we are always thinking of you and miss you terribly. Once again the Holidays are near and although it will be hard we know you will guide us through with Peace. Love you!

Your mother is always with you...
She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.

She's the smell of bleach in
your freshly laundered socks.

She's the cool hand on your
brow when you're not well.

Your mother lives inside
your laughter. She's crystallized
in every tear drop...

She's the place you came from,
your first home.. She's the map you
follow with every step that you take.

She's your first love and your first heart
break....and nothing on earth can separate you.

Not time, Not space...
Not even death....
will ever separate you
from your mother....

You carry her inside of you....

Happy New Year Aunt B!!! On Christmas Eve we were on our way to the "Troy Pole", and we said a big Merry Christmas to you. Keith said he knew you heard it and were wishing it right back. It felt very strange not having you there physically, but I know you were there in spirit watching the kids open their gifts, and I am sure you were up there singing those Christmas tunes!! On the way home the song "Wonderful World" came on, and I had this strong feeling that you were trying to tell us something. We miss you a lot and not a day goes by that we don't think of you. Love ya!

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

A Poem for Mom:

The Marks We Leave

As time goes on and we reflect
On the things we’ve said and done;
The places we’ve been, the people we’ve met And we think of all the fun.

We realize the marks we leave in life Aren’t made of stone or steel
But rather of the lives we’ve touched And how we make people feel.

For people are far more valuable
Than achievements great and high,
Than cars or planes or space shuttles Or buildings that reach to the sky.

You and I can leave our mark in life By doing all we can
To serve and praise and uplift
The lives of women, children, and men.

You sure left your Mark on so many Mom!!

Love always,

Eddie

Mom,
There aren't really words that can express how much you have meant to each & every person you touched. As your son, you showed me everything i ever needed to know about love & life. Your smile, how you tussled my hair, made me laugh, and made me believe in myself has made me into the person I am today. Your life can only be measured by the goodness you gave and the example that you set with integrity, compassion and humor. You were more successful with your example than you ever could have known. Your journey to a better place, with no pain and sorrow, and true happiness has just began. We know that some day we will all see you again & be greeted by your warm smile & sweet kiss. As for us that are here to carry on without you, May your strength give us strength, may your hope give us hope, nay your faith give us faith, and may your love grant us love.
You are simply more than any son could every want for a mother. I love you. Yunkie
P.S. Thank you so much for always make me feel loved, accepted and understood.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
