Nancy, Ellen I was very saddened to find out of your dad's passing. I know how very close you both were to him. It was always apparent how proud he was of his family when we would be there at your family gatherings and see that proud smile when he talked of his children and grandchildren. I have many fond memories of him from over the years.

Mr. Zimmerman was a wonderful man with a terrific family that I have been honored to know for the past 20 years. Never would a holiday, birthday or Labor Day go by, without a family get together. You will be missed at the gatherings, but I believe that you will be smiling down upon us, knowing that the traditions remain, in your honor.

Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle, and friend to many people. He was a quiet, proud man, who never asked of others, and maintained his strong will and independence until the end. It was his love for Rosemary that kept him going, and with the help of family, was able to keep her by his side until god called him home. This month would have marked their 55th wedding anniversary, a testament to his love and devotion. It is this love, devotion, and togetherness which he instilled in his family that will see them through the darkness that has fallen over Nassau Lake. But as in a passing storm, the darkness is only temporary; for the reflections of Ed’s memories will shine through the clouds, to once again brighten the waters, as he smiles down upon us. Rest in peace Ed, and know that you are dearly missed; and rest in the comfort that we will carry your torch, and continue in the fine tradition that you have blessed us with.

My deepest sympathy to the Zimmerman Family. I am so sorry to hear of ED's passing. I worked with Ed Junior and I miss him so much. To loose your brother and father in such a short time is such a heart breaker. I just lost my sister Bridget(44) 3 weeks ago and my heart is broken like yours.
